280ml will effectively treat all vehicles including light commercials up to 3.5L engines with a gearbox/transmission oil capacity of about 3 litres. Also available in 1 litre size.
Application (280ml) - automatic transmission: Just pour in Prolong Transmission Treatment to mix with your usual transmission fluid. No need to remove any oil from transmission system.

Application (1L size) - manual gearbox: For vehicles with more than 3.5L engines: Remove 10% of gearbox oil by volume before adding an equal amount of Prolong Transmission Treatment. (Eg; if your transmission oil capacity is 4 litres, remove 400ml of gearbox oil before adding an equal amount of Prolong Transmission Treatment).
Application - diffs, final drives & other usage with hypoid gear oil: Remove 10-20% of total gear oil by volume before adding an equal amount of Prolong Transmission Treatment.
For best results add to new oil change or in between service.

Gearbox oil or transmission fluid don't require changing as often as your engine oil.
We give our attention more to the engine than the gearbox because we can see it. But both need to work in harmony; kept in good condition for you to obtain a more economical and pleasant driving experience.
It is worth knowing that most mechanics or vehicle service centres do not change your gearbox oil during servicing or when it is due, unless you tell them.
There are millions of drivers using their vehicles whilst unknowingly causing extreme damage to their gearbox. The oil has been more than over-used and has become watery and practically ineffective.
In very bad cases you may experience a burning oil smell whilst driving and other gear box/transmission related problems. Continuos use of dirty gear oil or transmission fluid will also cause the vehicle to lose its top speed in all gears, because there is just too much metal to metal contact taking place; too much friction.
Dirty gear box oil or transmission fluid + dirty engine oil + dirty fuel system = higher fuel consumption, higher CO2 emissions, higher maintenance costs & less life to your vehicle!
Gearbox problems are fairly expensive to fix. If you can't change the oil or add Prolong Transmission Treatment yourself, then it is well worth getting a competent friend or motor mechanic to do it.
Prolong Transmission Treatment will extend the life of your gearbox transmission. Gear box oil leaks will also be prevented when you add Prolong Transmission Treatment to each and every gear box transmission oil change.
Prolong Transmission Treatment works the same way as Prolong Engine Treatment and Prolong Engine Oil; in that it stops destructive floating metal pieces from cutting away at your oil seals and gaskets, which would otherwise cause oil leaks.
It will remove sludge, acidic and other deposits from automatic transmission bands that cause gear slip, and stiff gear shift in manual gear boxes. It will significantly reduce friction and heat and mechanical wear by coating metal parts in a layer of powerful oil, thereby extending the life of your gearbox transmission system.
An increase in speed in all gears will be experienced, especially if you're also using Prolong Engine Oil or Prolong Engine Treatment & Prolong Fuel System Cleaner/Treatment.
